June 2015 What a lovely welcome we received, made to feel very at home. Your cottage is lovely, well preserved and very clean. Your kitchen equipment is a home from home. Your Welcome pack is just as amazing and it was lovely having such beautiful flowers as well. Lovely garden. We will certainly recommend staying here. Tania and David. Chester.
May 2015 Our 16th stay. We have been coming regularly since our daughter was 6 months old, she is now 11. A wonderful home from home with exceptional hosts and hospitality as always. David, Lisa and Keira. Essex.
Dec 2014 Home from home! Had a most enjoyable and relaxing stay catching up with friends, family and grandchildren in Sussex. The location is perfect, the cottage has everything for a short or long stay. We appreciated the warmth and cosiness and the free supply of logs for the wood burner. If Alison and Guy could have made the sun shine, they would have.
Also a big thanks to Claire, the housekeeper, for making the cottage so ‘Christmassy’, and being so accommodating. This is our best accommodation for our UK trips which we make 2 yearly and would love to return during a summer to enjoy the surroundings. We will be sad to leave. Jean and Steve, Adelaide, South Australia.
May 2007 Our sixth stay in this delightful cottage! Very mixed weather but Fishers Farm Park and Wilderness Wood were two great toddler-friendly excursions! See you again in the Autumn! L, D & K (3yrs), Brentwood, Essex
April 2007 Lovely cottage within easy reach of places of interest, good food and super shop at Middle Farm, went through Glyndebourne past the alpaca farm. Nice walk at Newhaven Fort. Many thanks for the food, wine and flowers, hope to come again one day. M & D, Bushey

Nov 2006 Thank you for your hospitality. We’ve had a lovely weekend in your cosy retreat! My brother’s wedding was lovely and we were able to “chill out” on the Sunday. It was lovely to meet your charming children – I had a very professional tour of the garden by Nathalie! Thanks again – we’ll be back. N, G, L & P, Swindon, Wilts.

October 2006 Thoroughly enjoyed the extensive garden and especially the guinea pigs and Willow. We made fantastic apple crumble from the apples and really enjoyed the excellent local produce left. June 2006 It’s not fair – time goes too quickly here! Could have spent all week at Wakehurst Place – it’s huge. This is our second visit. It’s quite understandable that many other people have stayed here more than once as well. The food and drink and warm welcome extended to us by Guy and Alison very much appreciated – Thanks. B, D, E and P, Bridgewater, Somerset.
Feb 2006 Back again. Our 4th stay in this lovely cottage. Again the hospitality and supplies in this cottage are most generous. The weather hasn’t been so kind but the change of scenery has been lovely. The peace and quiet has been wonderful, nice not to have to fight for a parking space and no neighbours – wonderful. See you in September, 2 weeks this time. Girls can’t wait. Many thanks. Claire, Richard, Phoebe and Rebecca, Sussex
